Job Description
The Events Coordinator is a full-time, in-person position reporting directly to the Director of State Programming, and is vital to the overall success of the GOPAC Network Events and Programming team.

Position Scope and Responsibilities:
• Assist events team with formulation and fulfillment on all GOPAC Network events.
• Work with the events team to monitor timelines and deadlines related to all aspects of events, ensuring the information is communicated with staff, volunteers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in development of programming for events including speakers, topics, and timing; communicate with speakers regarding their commitment to the event and their needs related to attending the event (i.e. A/V, travel, reimbursement, handouts, bios, video release forms, etc.).
• Maintain database and registration documents to ensure accurate event data.
• Assist in arranging travel and lodging logistics for event attendees; assist with the reimbursement and budgeting process before and after events.
• Assist in event follow‐up with thank‐you letters to speakers, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers as directed by the Director of State Programming.
• Prepare packaging and shipping of materials needed for events and ensure their prompt arrival.
• Work with appropriate staff to evaluate all events.
Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; extreme professionalism and confidence to liaise with elected leaders, investors, and stakeholders.
• Meticulously detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
• Motivation to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as a member of a dynamic team.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel, as dictated by the events schedule.
