Reporting to the Director for Mobilization and Faith Relations, The Faith Giving Specialist, a key member of Global Refuge's Mobilization and Faith Relations team, responsible for engaging congregations and faith communities to advance the organization's mission of welcome and advocacy. This role emphasizes mobilizing congregations for action, deepening partnerships, and driving participation in campaigns and events that reflect Global Refuge's mission and values, resulting in increased generosity and stewardship.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with congregations and faith communities.
  • Mobilize congregations for advocacy, volunteering, and fundraising aligned with Global Refuge's mission.
  • In partnership with the director for mobilization, create and execute a strategy for faith community giving; set and track metrics and KPIs as part of revenue goal setting.
  • Develop and deliver resources, training, and presentations to equip faith communities for engagement.
  • Collaborate with Development and Communications teams on integrated campaigns and initiatives, such as the Faith Alliance.
  • Represent Global Refuge at denominational gatherings, ecumenical networks, and public events.
  • Oversee all revenue targets from faith communities; establish stewardship plans for thanking communities of faith via a multi-channel approach.
  • Working closely with volunteers, part-time staff, and external partners, initiate a nationwide strategy to grow revenue from faith communities including interfaith communities.
  • Collaborate with field offices, program colleagues, and others to create engagement opportunities for faith communities.
  • Engage in public-speaking, including preaching and/or presenting at congregations during worship services; represent Global Refuge at conferences, meetings, and coalition meetings which can include ecumenical and interfaith networks.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • Contribute to the development of team strategies that advance organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in faith-based engagement, mobilization, or community organizing.
  • Strong understanding of congregational structures and ecumenical networks.
  • Knowledge of Lutheran communities and theology a plus.
  • Experience using a CRM platform, such as Salesforce, to track, report, and monitor metrics and goals when conducting meetings and fundraising activities.
  • Ability to engage with diverse faith communities around their shared understanding of stewardship and generosity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work occasional evenings/weekends, up to 30%.
