Job Description
Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz's campaign for re-election is looking for a Field Director to serve through the 2024 cycle and hopefully beyond. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the hardest working members of Congress in the country, and to do so in California's gorgeous Coachella Valley. Key Duties
- Oversee all field operations, including door knocking, phone banking, volunteer and intern recruitment, volunteer and intern management, and Democratic club relationship building and management
- In conjunction with campaign manager, develop and execute field plan for the cycle with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and cycle metrics/goals
- Database management
- Attend Democratic club meetings and meetings with other allied groups and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Previous campaign experience, especially in a field role, strongly preferred
- PDI experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience as a Field Director, especially at the Congressional or statewide level, preferred but not required
- Integrity, professionalism, strong work ethic, and passion for the job
- Accountability and exceptional attention to detail
- Self starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Compensation commensurate with experience. We offer health care reimbursement and relocation assistance. Temporary supporter housing may be possible if needed. This position is strictly in-person in Palm Desert, CA; starting off working remotely while securing housing may be allowed.
