Job Type: Full-time, Cycle-based

Reports to: Campaign Manager, Field Director

Position Summary:

Jack for NY is hiring Field Organizers that will play a key role in building grassroots support, engaging with voters, and driving the success of the campaign’s field operations. This position is ideal for a highly-motivated, outgoing individual interested in electoral campaign work and people with the ability to adapt to new situations in a fast paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support the campaign’s voter outreach efforts in door-to-door canvassing, street canvassing, phone banking, text banking, postering, and other direct voter contact activities
  • Track and report voter engagement metrics
  • Represent the campaign as needed for public events and volunteer canvasses
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture to retain volunteers, sustain engagement, and build volunteer leaders that can operate independently

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 1 cycle of campaign or community organizing experience (Petition and door to door canvassing experience preferred)
  • Registered Democrat in NY State
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Familiarity with voter contact tools (e.g., VAN, Mobilize, NGP, Scale to Win)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
  • A passion for democratic politics and electoral organizing

Job Details:

  • Salary: $6,000 a month
  • Hours: 40-50 Hours a Week - 6 Days a Week (Hours will increase closer to Election Day)
  • Material Requirement: Must Have a Laptop
