Company Description: Lisa Demuth for Governor of Minnesota is a statewide political campaign focused on effective leadership, community engagement, and responsive government. The campaign is centered in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area and works with diverse communities across Minnesota. ’s goals.Role Description: The Field Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area (Moorhead & Duluth). Field Staff members are responsible for direct voter contact, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, text outreach, and attending community events to share the campaign’s message. The role includes recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, as well as helping coordinate field operations such as canvass launches, phone banks, and local gatherings. Field Staff will track outreach metrics, report feedback from the field to campaign leadership, and assist with troubleshooting issues that arise during canvassing or events. This position involves regular in-person work, evening and weekend hours, and close collaboration with other staff and volunteers to meet campaign goals.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to speak with voters and volunteers in a clear, respectful, and persuasive manner.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret outreach data, identify trends, and inform field strategies.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to address logistics, technology, and on-the-ground challenges during canvassing and events.
- Candidates should possess training skills to effectively onboard, coach, and motivate volunteers and new team members.
- Additional qualifications include a demonstrated interest in public service or campaigns, willingness to work evenings and weekends, reliable transportation for field work, and strong organizational skills.
