Finance and Operations Coordinator
Megan Barry for Congress is looking for a dedicated full-time Finance and Operations Coordinator to support an aggressive fundraising operation to flip a Republican held seat--Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District. The Finance and Operations will work closely with staff and consultant team to draft and execute a 10-month fundraising plan, and to oversee an efficient and effective campaign organization.

Primary Responsibilities
Finance
- Support Megan Barry for Congress in developing and achieving an aggressive 2024 fundraising goal.
- Support the execution of a multi-faceted short-and long-term finance plan with programs aimed at multiple categories of donors (including PACs, high–and low-dollar individuals, other institutional givers, and online contributors) with programs targeted at specific constituencies of donors.
- Aide in the planning, scheduling, and managing of small-and large-scale fundraising events ranging from small social gatherings to large events with 100+ attendees.
- Manage call time, conduct follow-up donor correspondence and pledge chasing as directed, and oversee thank you program.
- Build on existing donor database by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors. Assist candidate and finance committee members in building strong relationships with major donors for the campaign and JFA.
- Working with our compliance firm, ensuring all work meets campaign finance and legal requirements.
- Recruit, supervise, and engage fellows to assist with data entry, donor research, and other finance-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate records in finance database and monitor for areas of improvement and/or enhanced information.
- In collaboration with Triumph Strategies and Dialogue Digital, write or oversee drafting of direct mail and online/email solicitations upon request.
- Staff finance-related events as directed.
Operations
- Assist the campaign manager with managing the candidate’s schedule, conducting event confirmations and staffing the candidate at events.
- Assist Campaign Manager in recruiting and hiring future staff and interns, assisting with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Assist in managing future campaign headquarters/field offices, from locating potential field offices to assisting in management of rental agreements.
- Assist campaign manager with volunteer intake and assignment until field effort begins in earnest - assisting with organization of temporary field organization efforts such as days of action, phone banks, and yard sign / t-shirt distribution.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Dedicated team player willing to take direction and hungry for responsibility.
- Strong commitment to electing Democrats to Congress.
- Willing to work extended or irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Lives in or willing to relocate to Nashville, TN for the duration of the current campaign cycle. Must have a car (position will at times require travel around the District).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and NGP preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Fundraising experience preferred
- Commitment to a culture of respect and community in our campaign
Salary and Benefits
This position may require extensive hours and travel. The salary for this position is in the range of $3,500-$4,000/month, and will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
