Role Overview:
The Finance Associate will play a critical support role for our team, gaining hands-on experience in political, nonprofit fundraising and donor relations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn the intricacies of political and nonprofit development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed background materials for clients and events.
- Assist in planning and staffing fundraising events, both in NYC and nationwide.
- Build and manage virtual meeting blocks, ensuring seamless preparation and follow-up for political clients.
- Staffing in person and virtual donor meetings when required
- Conduct donor research and prospecting to identify and expand fundraising opportunities.
- Support the planning of national fundraising trips, including sending meeting requests and managing schedules.
- Maintain and update donor databases in a timely manner (NGP, Numero, Google Suite) with precision and accuracy.
- Provide administrative support, including research, making phone calls, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and donors.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Campaign experience is a plus; fundraising experience preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel is essential; familiarity with NGP and Numero strongly preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take constructive feedback.
- Location: Must be based in New York City
