Job Description
The Finance Coordinator reports directly to the Finance Manager and collaborates closely with finance staff to assist with the day-to-day functions of the finance team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting donor and prospecting research, database maintenance, creating and processing invoices, tracking and filing expenses, and providing assistance to the finance team as needed. Previous fundraising and/or campaign experience is preferred.

Position Scope and Responsibilities:
• Work with the finance team to create invoices, call sheets, meeting and event briefings, and memos detailing interactions and follow-ups needed with current and prospective donors.
• Assist finance team to facilitate intake and tracking of contributions, including batch sheet creation, scanning and correctly saving incoming checks and accompanying documents, and database updating.
• Assist in the creation of compelling fundraising communications, including writing and editing fundraising letters, event invitations and one pagers, grant proposals, and email solicitations.
• Conduct donor and prospecting research and donor database maintenance as directed.
• Assist with writing, editing, and coordinating mailings to donors, including thank you letters, newsletters, and introductory letters.
• Monitor goals, priorities, and timelines on a regular basis to ensure timely and efficient management and completion of all solicitation efforts and related tasks.
Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulously detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
• Motivation to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as a member of a dynamic team.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.
