Job Description

The Fund Management Assistant will help to ensure the financial sustainability of the agency by supporting the accurate coding and recording of gifts and pledges in the Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database. The assistant will manage the donor recognition, receipting and appreciation process, ensuring a positive donor experience and sustained relationships. This role will also support campaigns throughout the year by creating solicitation lists through the donor database.

  • Review constituent information imported from website payment form and approve for new record creation or record matching in Raiser’s Edge NXT
  • Process gift batches from website payment forms to ensure accurate coding of gifts for deposit and correct method of donor acknowledgment
  • Assist with the accurate and timely data entry of contributions from third party payment platforms into the Raiser’s Edge NXT database
  • Assist with financial processes including event financials and tracking Fund Development team expenses
  • Prepare backup reports for deposit reconciliation, acting as a liaison between Fund Development and Accounting teams along with the Director of Fund Management
  • Help prepare donor solicitation mailing lists and ensure all edits for mailing lists are accurate including spelling and formatting; make corresponding updates in Raiser’s Edge NXT and assist with the health of database.
  • Gather, process and scan donor paper payments (checks) for a weekly deposit
  • Help with donor appreciation process, ensuring that donors are thanked on time and in an appropriate manner
  • Complete large data entry projects in Raiser’s Edge NXT as assigned
  • Attend and support the execution of Genesis-hosted fundraising events

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Non-profit experience, preferred
  • Experience working in a database, Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Experience in accounting or non-profit financials, a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and fulfill regular deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
