About Us:
The Center for Asia-Pacific Security and Taiwan Studies is a nonprofit research organization focusing on U.S.–Taiwan relations, Indo-Pacific security, and global political trends. We transform academic research into accessible policy analysis on current international political and economic issues.
We are seeking U.S. geopolitics scholars to conduct research and write analytical articles on critical international relations topics. This is a flexible, remote, part-time position paid per project.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on current major political events in the United States
- Analyze U.S.–China relations and cross-strait (Taiwan–China) relations
- Write analytical articles (~3,000 words per article)
- Transform academic research into accessible policy analysis
- Provide well-sourced, thoughtful analysis on geopolitical developments
Requirements:
- Background in Political Science, International Relations, or Geopolitics (recent graduate, graduate student, or established scholar)
- Specialization in U.S. geopolitics
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent academic writing ability
- Understanding of U.S.–China relations and Indo-Pacific security issues
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Preferred candidates from the USA, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or the Netherlands
