Job Description
The organization is seeking a Government Affairs Intern to support its mission of advocating for American the organization through foreign policy initiatives. This role involves engaging with congressional offices across the political spectrum, preparing briefing materials, and researching constitutional appropriations issues. Interns will track the status of foreign assistance funds, draft persuasive one-pagers, and assist in scheduling meetings with lawmakers. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in separation of powers and appropriations, along with excellent communication skills. This unpaid internship can be done remotely or in-person in Washington, D.C., with a commitment of approximately 40 hours per week.
