Job Description

Government and Public Affairs (GPA) function is responsible for inspiring and driving public policy globally to accelerate NIKE, Inc.’s business priorities. In partnership with the Social and Community Impact (SCI) function, the team ensures an integrated approach to engaging with government officials, international and local stakeholders, and community organizations to leverage the power of sport and create shared value for society at the intersection of business, public policy and social impact.
The GPA Intern will report to the Director, North America Government and Public Affairs, and collaborate with a wide variety of teammates across functions in GPA, Social and Community Impact, and the broader Purpose teams (including Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). The role will focus on two primary bodies of work:
- Assist in key projects as needed across GPA and potentially connecting GPA initiatives to other elements of Nike’s purpose portfolio.
- Keep workstreams on track and share progress on weekly basis.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Expected graduation date of December 2023 or Spring/Summer 2024
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Demonstrated coursework in international affairs, public policy, political science, law or a related field.
- Experience in the use of tools such as Microsoft office, Keynote.
- Well-versed in digital, and comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data sets
- Ability to manage, problem solve and prioritize against multiple priorities.
- Ability to deliver high quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Preferred fluency in English written and verbal communication
