The New Mexico Federal Delegation is seeking a Grants Coordinator based in New Mexico or Washington, D.C. This position works with all offices of the New Mexico Congressional delegation and is responsible for assisting New Mexicans in applying for Federal grants. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the federal grant process, have outstanding written and oral communication skills, be service- and solutions-oriented, be highly organized, and take an innovative and collaborative approach with community and colleagues. Responsibilities include conducting grant searches for constituents to identify relevant funding opportunities for their project needs and objectives; writing letters of support on behalf of constituent grant applicants to federal agencies; preparing the weekly Delegation grants advisory; working with congressional offices to support grant workshops and conducting presentations regarding federal grants; maintaining a database of all constituent grant requests; and maintaining a database of all federal funding coming to New Mexico.

Applicants should have at least one year of Hill or related experience. A familiarity with New Mexico, rural communities, and Tribal governments is preferred. This position is required to work in the office.
