Health Policy Advisor

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto is seeking an experienced Policy Advisor to handle all areas of health policy. This individual will be responsible for staffing the Senator’s work on issues before the Senate Finance Committee and the overall health and human services portfolio, including drafting and advancing legislation; monitoring legislation and nominations and providing vote recommendations; developing and implementing hearing strategy, including drafting questions; meeting with constituents, working with stakeholders, and helping brainstorm event and engagement opportunities; and briefing the Senator. Qualified candidates will be self-starters with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; able to work well under pressure, excel at multitasking, and be a team player. This is a senior-level position within the Office, expected to operate with a high level of autonomy and manage a Legislative Aide. A combined 5 years of experience and at least 3 years of experience specific to health policy are required. Prior Hill experience and understanding of these issues in Nevada are preferred.
