Job Description
Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) is seeking a Healthcare Legislative Assistant in the DC office. The Legislative Assistant will primarily be responsible for handling a portfolio consisting of healthcare, COVID-19 accountability, values, and other domestic issues, such as housing and labor. Responsibilities include advising the Congressman on all legislative matters within the policy portfolio, preparing vote recommendations, meeting with constituents and stakeholders on policy matters, staffing the Congressman during portfolio-related committee activities, preparing briefing materials for hearings and meetings, and drafting legislation, memos, and letters. 3-5 years of Hill experience, experience working on healthcare issues, and Texas ties are preferred but are not required.
