Civic Reset is a student-led nonprofit organization founded in 2025 and based in Queens, New York City. We advocate for comprehensive zoning reform to address NYC's unprecedented housing crisis through evidence-based policy solutions and community-driven advocacy. Our mission is to create equitable, affordable housing opportunities by promoting higher-density, mixed-use developments that serve all New Yorkers. We unite New Yorkers by merging academic research with grassroots advocacy to create real solutions and amplify the voices of those most affected by the housing crisis.


Role Description

This is an Internship Remote role for a dual social media and research position. The Intern will create and manage social media content, engage with our online community, assist with overall marketing efforts, conduct research, and write articles on zoning and development topics. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling posts, monitoring social media trends, contributing to the organization's communication efforts and campaigns, conducting research, and writing articles.


This Role is unpaid and offers a valuable learning environment for those interested in journalism, marketing, and public policy.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of housing policy or urban planning
  • Skills in Social Media Marketing, Social Media Content Creation, and Communication
