Job Description
A New York based fundraising firm is looking to hire a Junior Finance Associate for the 2026 cycle. This role will be responsible for working day-to-day on the fundraising for candidates running throughout Long Island.
Start Date: February 1
Salary: $4,000-$5,500 per month
This is a hybrid position requiring 3–4 days per week in person on Long Island
Responsibilities for this role will include:
- Managing day-to-day fundraising efforts for candidate
- Working with candidate in call time
- Staffing fundraising events and meetings for candidate
- Facilitate fundraising solicitations and pledge follow-ups
- Drafting copy and event invitations
- Maintain accurate donor records and financial data in campaign database
- Manage the donor acknowledgment and thank-you program
- Prepare briefing memos and fundraising materials
- Assist with other campaign finance-related duties as assigned
Qualifications for this role are:
- At least one cycle of fundraising experience with a campaign or political committee
- Preference for candidates with prior fundraising experience and proficiency with NGP/ActBlue/Numero
- Basic understanding of campaign finance laws and compliance
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work long hours
- Positive attitude and task-oriented
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
