Job Description
Ranking Member Bernie Sanders of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee is seeking a committee staff assistant to handle administrative matters and provide cross-cutting support to the committee’s labor policy work. Primary responsibilities include providing administrative support to professional staff, managing interns, tracking correspondence, conducting research, and assisting with other committee business including administrative aspects of hearing and event preparation. Successful applicants will be highly detail-oriented, able to manage time effectively, work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, handle confidential information, and possess excellent proofreading and Microsoft Office skills. Previous professional experience strongly preferred and interest in labor policy and the labor movement is required. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
