Congresswoman Leger Fernandez (NM-3) seeks a highly motivated Legislative Aide in her Washington, DC Office. Job responsibilities include managing the constituent correspondence system; helping out with Committee work; and handling a small legislative portfolio. Assigned issue areas will be worked out through the hiring process based on interest, background, and office needs. This person will work with the legislative team to introduce legislation, prepare for hearings and markups, meet with stakeholders, and advance legislative priorities. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment, and work well within a team.
