Legislative Aide

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Legislative Aide as a member of his personal office staff to cover a broad portfolio including agriculture, nutrition, budget, Appropriations, and other issues. Primary duties include providing top-notch constituent correspondence managed via Intranet Quorum (IQ), supporting senior legislative staff within the portfolio, scheduling and staffing constituent meetings, conducting legislative research, and writing public-facing letters and briefing memos. This individual will report to the legislative director and will support two Senior Policy Advisors. Qualified candidates should have at least basic knowledge of the portfolio’s issues, strong organizational skills, and superior verbal and written communication skills.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate ability to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be a team player who is motivated to deliver for Pennsylvanians and should have an opinion as to whether Sheetz or Wawa is superior. Prior Hill or administration experience is preferred, and Pennsylvania ties are strongly welcomed, but not required. The annual salary for this position is $65,000.
