Job Description
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is seeking a Legislative Assistant to support the Senator’s Defense, Foreign Policy, and Veterans Affairs portfolios. Responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and managing legislation; engaging with stakeholders and federal agencies; briefing and advising on geopolitical trends, global conflicts, and national security threats; supporting Pennsylvania’s defense industrial base; and drafting memos and talking points.
This is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant experience, possess exceptional writing and research skills, be adept at articulating complex policies clearly and concisely, be able to prioritize competing projects, and work well in a team-oriented environment. Previous Hill experience and a public policy background are preferred. The selected candidate will be expected to hold or obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
