Job Description
The organization is seeking a full-time Legislative Attorney to support its nonpartisan research and legislative functions in Pierre, SD. This role involves conducting legal research, advising legislators on legal matters, and drafting bills and amendments. The attorney will also staff legislative committees, prepare reports, and review administrative rules for compliance. Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license with the State Bar of South the organization or the ability to obtain one. Strong writing and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and work under tight deadlines, are essential.
