Job Description
The organization is seeking a full-time Legislative Attorney to support the legislative process by providing research and legal assistance to legislators. This role involves compiling data, conducting legal research, drafting bills and amendments, and advising on legal questions. The attorney will also staff legislative committees, prepare agendas, and develop reports. Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license to practice law in South the organization or the ability to obtain one within a year. Strong writing, research, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
