Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Major Gift Officer based in Colorado, United States. The Major Gift Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects and donors, coordinating fundraising campaigns, building long-term donor relationships, and preparing tailored proposals. The role also involves managing stewardship activities, maintaining donor records, and collaborating with internal teams to meet fundraising goals.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in fundraising, donor relations, and major gift solicitation
- Ability to develop and execute tailored strategies for donor acquisition and retention
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proposal writing experience
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of donor software and fundraising technologies is highly desirable
- Collaborative skills to work with cross-departmental teams and stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Familiarity with arts organizations or performing arts is a plus
