Manager of Government Relations – Healthcare Policy

Position Summary

We are a bipartisan law and lobbying firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manager of Government Relations to support a dynamic healthcare policy practice serving a diverse portfolio of clients.

The Manager of Government Relations will monitor legislative and regulatory developments, conduct policy research and analysis, support client deliverables, and assist the firm's lobbyists in executing advocacy strategies on a range of healthcare issues, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, public health, provider policy, health technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze federal legislative and regulatory developments affecting healthcare clients.
  • Prepare policy summaries, legislative updates, hearing reports, issue briefs, and client-facing memoranda.
  • Track congressional activity, including hearings, markups, floor action, and committee developments.
  • Conduct research on healthcare policy issues, stakeholders, and legislative proposals.
  • Support client account teams by drafting meeting materials, briefing documents, presentations, and advocacy resources.
  • Assist in preparing clients for meetings with congressional offices, federal agencies, and stakeholder organizations.
  • Maintain legislative trackers, stakeholder databases, and client reporting tools.
  • Attend congressional hearings, briefings, coalition meetings, and industry events; provide written summaries and analysis.
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for client meetings and advocacy activities.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through research and preparation of background materials.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in government, health policy, government relations, consulting, advocacy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in federal healthcare policy and the legislative process.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex policy issues for varied audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Interest in building long-term expertise in healthcare lobbying and advocacy.
