Job Description

About USGLC:

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is a bipartisan network of more than 500 businesses and non-governmental organizations, alongside national security and foreign policy experts, and leaders from the business, faith, academic, and community sectors across all 50 states. Together, they support a smart power approach to U.S. foreign policy, elevating diplomacy and development alongside defense to help build a safer, more prosperous world.

Working in Washington, D.C., and in communities nationwide, the USGLC promotes stronger civilian-led tools of American engagement abroad, development and diplomacy, alongside defense. The Coalition advocates for a robust International Affairs Budget, recognizing international affairs programs as a cornerstone of effective U.S. foreign policy and a key driver of American security and economic prosperity.

The USGLC was founded in 1995 when a diverse group of companies, NGOs, and foreign policy leaders came together in response to proposed congressional cuts to the International Affairs Budget. Recognizing the vital role diplomacy and international development play in strengthening national security, the Coalition engages with Congress, the White House, and stakeholders across the country to raise awareness of the importance of these investments for Americans at home and abroad.

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition operates through two affiliated entities: the Center for U.S. Global Leadership, its educational arm, and the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign, its advocacy arm. Today, the USGLC maintains operations and partnerships in 32 states across the United States.
