CARE Los Angeles is the Los Angeles Chapter of Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages through free financial literacy education. Our volunteer-led workshops cover essential topics such as budgeting and saving, credit education, fraud and identity theft prevention, and paying for college.


CARE LA partners with schools, nonprofits, and community organizations across Southern California to deliver accessible, real-world financial education that supports long-term financial stability and informed decision-making.


We are currently looking to hire a part-time, hourly Nonprofit Development Assistant to support our development, volunteer engagement, and program operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about nonprofit work and community impact.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support volunteer and community communications and onboarding
  • Assist with data entry and cleanup during CARE LA’s CRM transition
  • Help maintain organized donor, volunteer, and partner records
  • Support reporting and impact tracking
  • Prepare and distribute presentation materials and resources for volunteers



Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, and shared digital systems
  • Previous experience in the nonprofit sector or working with donors or volunteers is a plus
  • CRM experience or willingness to learn a plus
  • Passion for community service and education


Position Details:


Part-time, hourly position

$17–$20 per hour, depending on experience

Flexible schedule

Hybrid / remote with some Los Angeles–based coordination
