Job Description
over the past two years and we are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator who will
work closely with the organization’s leadership team to support financial operational functions.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Director of Finance &
Operations, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the organization. This role requires
a high level of attention to detail, with responsibilities including financial management, human
resources administration, and operational support. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain
accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting, data management, and risk mitigation,
while also demonstrating a deep understanding of and commitment to racial, social, and
environmental justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support with a focus on financial management, including:
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general
ledger entries
- Grant tracking and reporting
- Assist with human resources administration, including:
- Payroll processing and benefits administration
- Recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel records and handling off-boarding or
terminations in compliance with policies
- Support operational functions, such as:
- Facilities management and maintenance
- Logistics and event planning
- IT systems oversight, including managing digital platforms and ensuring data
security and backup protocols
- Ensure compliance with administrative and HR policies, as well as financial regulations
and laws, including:
- Maintaining compliance with GAAP standards and nonprofit regulatory
requirements
- Supporting the annual independent audit and preparing required filings (e.g.,
IRS Form 990)
- Implementing and revising financial policies/procedures to ensure legal
compliance and sound fiscal controls
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or Operations
Management required; equivalent experience may be considered
- Commitment to public health and social, environmental and racial justice
- Extremely detailed oriented, self-directed and resourceful
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment
- Understanding of QuickBooks or other accounting software required
- Familiarity with payment platform such as Bill.com
- Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles and non-profit accounting
preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database programs
- Experience in project coordination
- Technologically savvy and comfortable navigating and learning new technology
systems
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn new skills that the job requires
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations
- Able to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions
Employment Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt Salaried
Location: The position is based in Los Angeles, CA. We are in a Hybrid structure, and require 2
in person days a week. Applicants should reside in the Metro Los Angeles region and be able
to work in a Los Angeles-based office.
Compensation: Salary ranging from $76,000 - $78,000 based on experience. PSR-LA offers a
robust benefits package that includes: 100% employer-paid platinum healthcare, dental,

We have 13 paid holidays, 10+ days paid days off at the end of the year in addition to 2 weeks
