Job Announcement: Operations Manager

Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit based in Austin, Texas that provides affordable housing and supportive services to thousands of local community members. Those supportive services include Health Initiatives and Prosper Programs that are offered at affordable housing communities and the two Prosper Centers that FC owns and operates in Austin. At each Prosper Center, thousands of people access free tax preparation, health insurance enrollment, college support services, and financial wellness programs each year.

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all operations run smoothly for Health Initiatives and Prosper Programs and that all building operations run smoothly at the two Prosper Centers. This is a shared position across the two teams and reports to the Director of Prosper Programs and Director of Health Initiatives. This is a new position that supervises a team of approximately 5-6 FTEs and works closely with program managers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations at both Prosper Centers and new mass food distribution center at Mission Plaza. Support physical operations for events and pop-up service delivery.
  • Supervise the Operations team to ensure successful execution of responsibilities and professional development.
  • Oversee development and execution of operations plan for each program area, particularly during busy seasons, to ensure all program staff have what they need for effective service delivery (site setup, supplies, equipment, technology, processes, systems).
  • Support staff recruitment, hiring, and onboarding. Ensure all staff and volunteers for the Prosper and HI teams have what they need to provide services, including workstations and technology.
  • Coordinate the launch of new programs and special projects as needed.

This is full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position with an annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000. The Operations Manager will split their time between our two Prosper Centers in Austin at 5900 Airport Blvd and 2900 S IH 35 and work at the administrative office for Foundation Communities at 3000 S IH 35.
