MV/N is expanding our team in 2026 to support our partners in their expected electoral programs for the 2026 election cycle. This is a mid level position which will manage a portfolio of priority work reporting to the Co-Executive Directors.

This position will provide electoral program assistance, guidance and support to MV/N’s partner organizations including the development of shared metrics and evaluations, long- and short-term organizing strategies. Assisting partners to develop strategic civic and voter engagement plans that encourage issue education and organizing, and voter mobilization.

Responsibilities

  • Support partner organizations to make sure their field staff have the resources, materials, and plans needed to be successful.
  • Produce regular progress reports, make strategic recommendations on how to adjust program and resource allocation based on performance.
  • Create training materials for staff and volunteers to ensure that they have the skills they need to perform their responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the overall campaign strategy.

Qualifications

  • 2 years/cycles experience in political, labor or community organizing, and/or legislative campaigns preferred.
  • Knowledge of the political landscape in Maine is required.
  • Experience managing several tasks/projects concurrently, prioritizing work effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Diplomatic, professional approach to problem solving and the ability to think independently and creatively.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, oral, and written communications skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $68,000-75,000 (commensurate with experience) plus a generous benefits package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement benefits, paid vacation, sick, and medical leave.

This is a salaried, exempt position. MV/N currently works in a hybrid model with one scheduled day per week where all staff usually work in-person together in our Portland office. We value in-person, collaborative work and are open to various work schedules and arrangements based on staff needs.
