About Determined to Succeed

Determined to Succeed (DTS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a college access and

success program that provides highly motivated, underserved students with comprehensive,

year-round support and resources for academics, overall wellness, and social and emotional

growth, in order to realize their goals of high school and college graduation and set themselves

on the path to fulfilling futures. We believe every child deserves to lead a happy, healthy and

productive life yet not every child has access to the tools and skills they need to reach their

goals. The DTS approach to college success is progressive, holistic and impactful. Students are

much more than the sum of their grades and test scores. When the whole child, including his

background, culture and personal circumstances and experiences, is considered and supported,

we increase the rate of college success.

Summary of Position

Determined to Succeed is seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Philanthropy and

Communications Manager to manage and grow key fundraising, donor stewardship, grants,

independently manage timelines, identify next steps, bring ideas forward, and move work across

the finish line.

The Executive Director will remain involved in organizational strategy and key donor

relationships, and the Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, Board, Assistant

Director, program staff, and graphic designer to execute fundraising and communications

priorities.
