YWCA is seeking a Philanthropy Manager who is focused on supporting the Director of Philanthropy in community-centered fundraising, growing our culture of philanthropy, is committed to the community in Clark County, and seeks to grow an already robust and mature donor program.


About the Position

The Philanthropy Manager will join the Director of Philanthropy in supporting all organizational fundraising. The manager will focus on personal solicitations to increase both annual gift income and the number of donors who contribute. Additional activities will include direct mail, email, phone, events, and other donor engagement. As the position most responsible for relationships with annual donors, the manager plays an important role on the Development team as it continues to cultivate a culture of philanthropy in support of YWCA’s mission.  YWCA’s total fundraising budget is $900,000 and growing. The Clark County Community is an active participant in supporting YWCA. Our Philanthropy Manager needs to connect with Clark County and understand the value of uplifting our clients and their successes.


Minimum Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience

·       2-3 years of experience in annual fundraising, preferably in a non-profit setting

·       Must be a resident of Clark County

·       Experience with donor databases and technology for fundraising

·       Availability for occasional evening or weekend work and travel

·       Knowledge of principles of community-centered fundraising and moves management

·       Ability to support the mission of YWCA Clark County

·       Intercultural competence, ability to work effectively with a diverse array of donors, families, and colleagues                    

 

Essential Duties

·       Implement annual fundraising activities with a particular focus on individual giving.

·       Coordinate annual giving solicitations to maximize giving, participation, and renewal rates and manage and support volunteers in their efforts to support fundraising.

·       Recruit and manage volunteers for events and engagement strategies

·       Support direct mail solicitations including the writing of appeals and other materials, segmenting, targeting, and working with outside designers and mail houses as needed.

·       Develop and execute stewardship plan for YWCA donors; provide gift acknowledgment templates for processing.

·       Manage a portfolio of annual donors and prospects between $250 and $5,000 with a focus on increasing gifts.

·       Support efforts in developing solicitation strategies for event support through sponsorships, pledges, in-kind donations, ticket sales, and/or advertising.

·       Support the Director of Philanthropy in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure expenses/gifts are accurately recorded, budgeted, and managed.

·       Collaborate on projects with existing Development staff, as well as all staff, as needed
