Job Description
Spotify is hiring a Podcast Talent Lead to join the Studios team. We’re seeking someone experienced and well-connected in the talent community to identify and bring in emerging talk talent, cast scripted fiction podcasts, liaise between Spotify and the major talent agencies and management companies, and look for larger talent opportunities across Spotify teams. You should be forward thinking, passionate about marrying top tier talent with A-level content, and able to cultivate existing and new relationships in the creative community to help land the best talent driven projects. In this role, you will also be an important connection point for podcast talent at Spotify to enjoy their experience and do their best work.
Your efforts will be a meaningful part of our best-in-class content strategy, and impact the way our listeners engage with audio stories.
What You'll Do
- Work across Spotify’s internal studios - as well as our vital third party partnerships - to identify, track, pursue, and court emerging talent
- Oversee and drive casting for our scripted podcasts across our studios (including Gimlet, Parcast, the Ringer, and Greenroom)
- Work across our new content initiatives to drive podcast talent and bring listeners to platform
Who You Are
- Depth of experience identifying talent, casting video and/or audio projects, strong agency/manager relationships
- Ability to influence and drive purposeful change where needed
- Ahead of the curve when it comes to identifying talent that will bring listeners of all backgrounds to the platform
- Comfort and ease around navigating within ambiguous environments
- Enthusiasm for new technology and fresh perspectives
- Deeply experienced finding talent in the media landscape for streaming, podcasting, TV, or film
- Excited to be a part of building something
- Track record for successfully discovering and casting fresh talent and bringing newer or lesser-known voices and faces to media
