As a Policy Analyst, GS-0301-9, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
- Assists and carries out policy analyses to make recommendations on drug control program agency and program funding to achieve the policies and priorities of the National Drug Control Strategy.
- Assists with budget certification recommendations for assigned accounts and, if a budget is determined to be inadequate to carry out the National Drug Control Strategy, identifies budget actions the federal agency must take to make the budget adequate.
- Reviews drug-related programming and transfer requests submitted for ONDCP approval to the Chief of the Interagency Budget Division, the Deputy Assistant Director of the Office of Performance and Budget, and the Assistant Director, Office of Performance and Budget, ensuring compliance with broad ONDCP strategic policies and priorities.
- Assists in managing and developing the National Drug Control Strategy: Budget Summary and other documents managed and developed by the Interagency Budget Division. Researches, develops, writes and edits a wide range of documents, position papers, and other materials on complex issues that support ONDCP's mission, goals, objectives, and proposed initiatives.
