Job Description

Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, as the current Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee (HBC), is creating the new position of House Budget Committee Policy Director.


This individual, working closely with Ranking Member Boyle and senior staff, will lead the committee’s legislative and policy agenda for the 120th Congress. The Policy Director will ensure that the Ranking Member’s strategic vision is implemented through all the committee’s activities. The Policy Director will also work with the committee’s relevant policy staff to develop and execute the agenda.


The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with outside policy and relevant organizations. This is not an entry level position. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of significant policy experience, including but not limited to senior staff level responsibilities on Capitol Hill or elsewhere within the federal government.
