Location: Washington, DC (hybrid)

CCIA seeks a motivated policy professional to support the Association’s technology policy advocacy on international trade issues. The position would report to Senior Policy Counsel on trade issues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support CCIA’s DC and Brussels policy teams to further public policy goals and outreach on behalf of member companies and the Internet services and technology industries before the House, Senate, state legislatures, relevant federal agencies, Executive Branch, and international agencies;
  • Facilitating CCIA’s policy development and legal analysis on technology-related matters in coordination with Association personnel and CCIA members;
  • Research and assist in preparation of regulatory comments, research and advocacy papers, reports, memoranda and summaries, and media communications pertaining to digital trade and international policy matters;

Minimum Qualifications: Three years relevant work experience in public policy, government, or regulatory affairs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Self-starting personality, strong organizational and project management skills.
  • strong academic credentials; excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills; and a demonstrated ability to perform effectively on a team.
  • Broad substantive knowledge of technology policy, including the international landscape.
  • Experience in one or more of the following issue areas: International trade with focus on rules governing digital services and technology products including but not limited to intellectual property, customs and export control rules, cross-border data flows and localization issues, and taxation.
  • Familiarity with the services and business models of CCIA members.
