Job Description
MyVoiceCounts is a democracy-tech platform that allows organizations, political figures, and other stakeholders to collect verified, anonymous public opinion and turn it into transparent, real-time data.
We are an experienced international team with operations and market experience across different countries and continents. We know how to build products, enter challenging markets, create local teams, and adapt to different political environments.
Now, we want to enter the US political market
Our challenge is that we are not based in the US and do not yet have enough experience, relationships, or market knowledge within the American political ecosystem.
We need someone with at least 10 years of experience in US politics, who can help us understand exactly where MyVoiceCounts fits and how to sell it.
We need someone who can look at our product and tell us specifically:
• Who would realistically buy it
• Which political use cases are the strongest
• Which organizations and decision-makers we should target
• How we should position and pitch the product
• What objections we should expect
• How political organizations in the US actually purchase technology
• Which contacts or introductions could help us enter the market
The ideal person has:
• 10+ years of experience in US politics
• Strong experience with political campaigns, political consulting, polling, political technology, public affairs, or party organizations
• An active network in the US political space
• A practical understanding of how decisions and budgets work inside campaigns and political organizations
• The ability to provide direct, specific, and honest feedback
• additionally business development, or client acquisition experience
What We Need Initially
At the beginning, this will not be a full-time or long-term position. We want to start with several paid consulting sessions.
During these sessions, we expect the consultant to:
1. Review the MyVoiceCounts product and current pitch.
2. Identify the most realistic US customer segments.
3. Recommend the strongest political use cases.
4. Explain who the buyers and decision-makers are.
5. Help us improve our positioning and sales approach.
6. Identify potential organizations, campaigns, consultants, or partners to approach.
7. Give us practical next steps for entering the US market.
If we see strong, concrete results from the initial sessions, we would be open to continuing the relationship and potentially expanding the role into ongoing market development, introductions, sales meetings, and customer acquisition.
