Role Description Interns with Nicole Locklin for U.S. Congress will support day-to-day campaign operations, including voter outreach, phone banking, canvassing, and community engagement efforts. Responsibilities may include assisting with event planning and logistics, distributing campaign materials, helping maintain volunteer lists and schedules, and providing support during campaign events and meetings. Interns may contribute to social media content, basic research on local issues, and data entry to track voter interactions and campaign activities. This is an internship role that offers hands-on experience in political organizing, field operations, and grassroots campaigning. The office is located at 1808 N. University Dr., Pembroke Pines, FL, 33024.


Qualifications

  • Interest in public service, grassroots organizing, and progressive policy issues impacting South Florida communities.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and comfort engaging with voters and community members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and follow campaign guidelines and messaging.
  • Organizational skills for managing schedules, events, and basic data entry or record-keeping tasks.
  • Reliability and professionalism, with the ability to attend in-person shifts and events in Pembroke Pines, FL.
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms and willingness to support digital outreach is helpful.
  • Commitment to the campaign’s values of integrity, accountability, and putting people first.
