Job Description
Congressman Jamie Raskin seeks a reliable, responsible, and motivated press intern to support his official communications. Press intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Media monitoring and tracking press coverage relevant to the congressman, his district, and his priorities,
- Drafting written press materials, such as press releases, statements, and newsletters,
- Digital content creation, including drafting social media posts, editing video, and designing graphics, and
- Scheduling and fielding logistics for media interviews, press conferences, events, and other public-facing engagements.
The ideal candidate is an excellent writer with strong research skills, keen political judgment, discretion, and the ability to take initiative. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapid response environment and collaborating in a team setting.
Previous internship experience in a congressional office and familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva is preferred. This is a full-time position.
