 Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) seeks a Press & Digital Assistant in his Washington, DC or Warwick, RI office for duties including but not limited to: 

  • Supporting the comprehensive communications, media, and digital strategy of the Office to promote the Member’s policies and priorities; 
  • Working with the Communications Director to identify new ways to engage with press and digital audiences; 
  • Assisting the Communications Director in drafting press releases, advisories, talking points, newsletters, social media content, digital graphics, and other materials; 
  • Assisting with writing and designing innovative social and digital content, and video editing; 
  • Staffing the Member for press events, interviews, and other events as assigned; 
  • Monitoring and compiling daily press clips, traditional media coverage, and social media engagement and metrics. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, experience with video and graphic design, and an interest in traditional and digital media strategy. Relevant digital or social media experience is preferred. 

The Press & Digital Assistant reports to the Communications Director. 

For Warwick office only: Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and own and maintain a vehicle registered in Rhode Island. Some occasional driving of the Member will be necessary, as assigned.
