Program Assistant
Asia Program and Carnegie California
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a renowned international affairs institution, seeks a Program Assistant to provide programmatic and administrative support for its Palo Alto-based Carnegie California office and Washington-based Asia Program. The program assistant will be based in Washington, D.C. and spend half of their time assisting the Asia program and the other half of their time assisting Carnegie California, Carnegie’s West Coast office.
The Program Assistant will provide programmatic, administrative, and events support to both the Asia program and Carnegie California. Duties will include assisting in organizing meetings, roundtables, and conferences; managing stakeholder relationships through database administration; coordinating with other programs and organizations; tracking expenses and assisting in financial reporting; social media outreach; scheduling; and light editing. This role is ideally suited to a candidate with an interest in gaining project management and programmatic operation skills.
Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, and some demonstrated administrative experience, as well as the ability to balance multiple competing tasks efficiently, a high degree of reliability and attention to detail, a positive team spirit, and a can-do attitude marked by flexibility and cooperation.
