Position: Program Assistant/Officer, Communications
Schedule: Full-time
Locations: Washington DC
The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Program Assistant/Officer, Communications, Digital & Marketing, to support the organization’s communications and public engagement efforts. This role helps shape CEPA’s external voice and raise visibility through social media, digital content, and multimedia projects.
The successful candidate takes the initiative and is a collaborative communicator with a sharp eye for detail and design. The candidate brings creative ideas to amplify CEPA’s voice, possesses strong organizational and project management skills, and is comfortable juggling multiple tasks, including across digital platforms.
The Program Assistant/Officer, Communications, Digital & Marketing, reports to the Director, Communications & Information Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of CEPA’s social media platforms and develop content aligned with strategic goals;
- Work with the Director, Communications & Information Systems to refine and implement social media strategy;
- Create visual content for publications, events, and digital channels;
- Manage the design, coordination, and distribution of CEPA’s newsletters;
- Coordinate with external design, video vendors, and content creators;
- Serve as point of contact for podcast and video content, including planning, production, and promotion;
- Support development and dissemination of shortform video content;
- Maintain brand consistency across all social media platforms and communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- 12 years or more of relevant experience;
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to edit and to write quickly and clearly;
- Positive, flexible, getitdone attitude;
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment;
- Ability to work independently and within a team across the organization;
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a timesensitive environment;
- Have an understanding of and a commitment to, CEPA’s mission to transatlantic values and principles;
- Ability to handle sensitive information, meet deadlines, and maintain grace under pressure.
A successful candidate will have:
- 12 years of experience in a social media and digital marketing, with a focus on missiondriven content creation, including a demonstrated ability to create engaging writing, graphic, and video content;
- Experience in the Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro, Canva, email marketing tools (Mail Chimp, Klaiveyo, Salesforce Pardot, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar);
- Demonstrated experience in video or podcast production;
- Candidates with experience in any of the following, Adobe Illustrator, CapCut, data visualization tools (Datawrapper, Flourish, Mapbox, or similar), Project Management software (Asana, Notion, or similar), social media advertising, or related tools, will be strongly considered.
