Job Title: Program Director Department: Programs Reports to: Executive Director Salary: Starting at $60,000, based on experience and education The Family Room provides nurturing, home-like visitation spaces for families experiencing foster care separation, offering a compassionate alternative to traditional supervised visitations. GENERAL FUNCTIONS The Family Room is seeking a Program Director to serve Clackamas and Multnomah county locations. In this role, the Program Director is responsible for safely and effectively managing a diverse group setting of parents and children who are separated in the foster care system. This position must ensure visits are organized, educational, therapeutic and helpful in facilitating supervised visits while assessing parental capacity. The Program Director must collaborate with Oregon Child Welfare, community partners, and volunteers while demonstrating a commitment to our mission of strengthening families and promoting child welfare. This role requires an individual who can manage a high energy environment, de-escalate conflict, maintain consistent boundaries while displaying a strong ability to problem solve and multitask. PROGRAMMATIC DUTIES: QUALIFICATIONS The following are minimum qualifications for the Program Director: Full-time positions at The Family Room are approximately 35 hours per week and include full-time salary and benefits. Hours include each site’s hours of operation. Occasional evening and weekend events (2-3 annually) are required. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are protected office hours from 9am-12pm. Flexible non-office hours are permitted. The Program Director is directly supervised by the Executive Director and can expect weekly check-ins.
