Job Description

Purpose of Job: Direct and coordinate smooth operation of program services and volunteers.

Schedule: Full Time Role from Tuesdays - Saturdays

Qualifications:

  • BA required, MSW preferred
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated supervision experience
  • One least 2 year of management experience
  • Sensitive to working with diverse populations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Position Specific Qualifications:

  • DV Certified as mandated by the State of California
  • Knowledge of domestic violence issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions on behalf of clients.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills.
  • Must have a car available while on duty with valid insurance coverage for business/work use.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Program Management

  • Combining Statistical Information
  • Verifying supporting documentation
  • Responsible for submitting City, County, State & other process reports timely
  • Proficient using Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Quick Study learning other software as needed
  • Well organized, self-starting, demonstrate initiative and ability to work alone & unsupervised

Fiscal Management:

  • Oversee shopping
  • Oversee Client Disbursement (i.e. bus & BART tickets, gift cards, etc)

Personnel Management:

  • Assist Executive Director and HR in developing job descriptions and recruiting personnel.
  • Evaluate and supervise direct service staff and volunteers
  • Create and maintain positive equitable working environment.
  • Manage scheduling and coverage

Program Administration:

  • Ensure staffing of 24-hour crisis line and shelter
  • Facilitate weekly case management meetings.
  • Facilitate weekly house meetings
  • Supervise, coordinate and ensure implementation of shelter program activities.
  • Direct advocacy is minimal, supervise direct services staff.
  • Oversee Client Services

Case Management:

  • Client Issues
  • Evaluations (week to week for up to 12 weeks)
  • Secure Exit Interview (to be delivered to ED confidentially)
  • File Security - Review/Documentation
  • Monitor achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Ensure Monthly/quarterly reports are completed timely for Alameda County, CalWorks, and Monthly Progress Reports
  • Attend meetings as needed and assigned
  • Enhance community support and inter-agency cooperation on local and statewide levels.
  • Recommend and implement inter-agency policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Facility Management:

  • Oversee supply inventory
  • Oversee maintenance/repair requests
  • Other Tasks as assigned by Executive Director
