They are seeking a Public Policy & Advocacy Specialist to support AABB’s Public Policy and Advocacy department.

As the Public Policy & Advocacy Specialist, you will assist with conducting research that supports advocacy efforts, engaging in meeting and project coordination, and conducting outreach to stakeholders, elected officials, and agency staff. You will track and analyze international, federal, state, and local policies and represent AABB with external stakeholders. This position reports to the Senior Director of Public Policy & Strategic Partnerships.
This is a full-time opportunity, with a remote option for applicants in the following states: AZ, CO, DC, FL, IL, KY, LA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, PA, RI, TN, VA, WA, WI, WV.
Qualified candidates offer:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements
- 3 years of related experience with the legislative or regulatory process at the federal or state level
- Health policy exposure
- Sophisticated writing skills
- Prior advocacy experience and knowledge of health issues and of federal and state legislative and regulatory processes and or government, advocacy, public affairs, or health care policy preferred
