Job Description
The Arizona Democratic Party (Coordinated Campaign) is seeking a Rapid Response Director, a key member of our campaign’s Communications team. The Rapid Response Director works on the ground to execute communications strategies to hold Donald Trump and Republicans accountable during the 2024 election cycle and elect Democrats up and down the ballot. They will engage in consistent local media outreach in their state and work with national media; coordinate with Team Biden-Harris, the DNC, and other state party staff; and work closely with the coordinated campaign team to plan and execute both short and long term communications plans.
Logistics:
- Salary: $7,000/month
- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Benefits: Eligible for UnitedHealthcare medical, dental, vision plan at no premium
- Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
Duties
Organizing and executing regular press events;
Producing and releasing regular written press materials including press-releases, fact sheets, guest columns and other materials as appropriate;
Amplifying research on Republican candidates;
Developing relationships with key in-state political reporters;
Booking surrogates on local outlets to drive key messages;
Briefing in-state talkers and communications stakeholders and produce regular talking point distribution to communications allies in-state;
Identifying and briefing surrogates to share personal stories in local earned media.
