Job Description

The Role:

We are hiring Regional Field Managers to lead the KB4M ground operation across Los Angeles.

Each Regional Field Manager owns a geographic region and is responsible for building a direct

voter contact operation in their territory. You will recruit, train, and develop Team Captains who

lead volunteer canvassers. This position will report to the Deputy Organizing Director. Region

assignments are made during the hiring process based on experience, relationships, and fit.

What You'll Do:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers in your region, scaling to full capacity by October
  • Identify and develop Team Captains who independently run staging location shifts
  • Secure and operate staging locations in your region
  • Own all VAN turf for your region — every precinct assigned before the first canvass weekend
  • Execute the established field strategy for each precinct
  • Deliver weekly outreach totals, and voter ID reports to the Deputy Organizing Director.
  • Coordinate with your appropriate Community Engagement Director to integrate in- language and culturally specific voter contact programs into your regional operation
  • Conduct weekly Team Captain check-ins, pre-canvass briefings, and post-canvass debriefs — every shift, every weekend

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ campaign cycles in a field role, including at least one as a Field Organizer or above
  • Experience managing and developing volunteers or staff
  • VAN/PDI proficiency: turf cuts, list pulls, contact tracking, and training others
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Available August 8 – November 3 with no gaps, including all weekends

Strongly Preferred:

  • Los Angeles City or County campaign experience
  • Spanish proficiency — bilingual canvass capacity is required in multiple regions
  • Experience running both GOTV and persuasion programs
  • Relationships with labor, faith, or community organizations in your area of Los Angeles
  • Multilingual capacity (Korean, Tagalog, Cantonese, or other languages)

We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
