Part-Time Research Associate
Daley Strategies seeks a young and talented individual with an interest in politics, public policy, public relations, or community engagement to join us as a paid Research Associate!
As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for helping develop and execute creative strategies to meet our clients’ needs. Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Research: Background research is important to gaining a deeper understanding and knowledge of various subjects relevant to our clients and work.
- Meeting Monitoring: Research Associates may be tasked with monitoring government and agency meetings. The Research Associate will be responsible for listening to the relevant items, taking notes and reporting back with the relevant discussion/actions of government bodies.
- Writing: We may ask you to draft various types of documents for clients, including fact sheets, media advisories, press releases and memos.
- Stakeholder Engagement/Coalition Building: Our work often involves significant outreach to stakeholder groups and community members. Research Associates will be asked to participate in both of these activities as needed.
- Media outreach and monitoring: In order to garner media coverage for our clients and events, media outreach will be essential, and our Research Associates are an integral part of these efforts.
- Limited administrative support: Our Research Associates may be asked to help out with various administrative or executive support functions.
This position will offer the opportunity to gain valuable skills, network, and learn about public policy, government and community engagement, communications, and much more. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, writing, and communicative skills and the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
This position is a remote with occasional in-person meetings and events. Hourly pay is $22 per hour.
