About the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC: The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC has a mission of electing strong progressive leaders to Congress who share our vision for America’s future. The CPC PAC is the caucus’s political arm, co-chaired by Reps. Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar, and Maxwell Frost. It is one of the leading national groups that works to support and elect the next generation of progressive leaders that will embody the present and the future of the progressive movement.
Over the past three cycles, the CPC PAC has raised over $13 million and invested millions through its independent expenditure arm to support progressive House candidates around the country. It is one of the only national groups solely dedicated to electing progressive candidates to Congress.
Position summary: The Research Intern will aid the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC’s mission of electing a new wave of strong progressive leaders and taking back the House in 2026. This position will contribute to that mission by assisting with research into both potential and declared candidates for open seats in Congress, reviewing and analyzing campaign finance filings, and systematically monitoring races of interest for the latest developments.
Responsibilities & opportunities:
- Assist with vetting of potential recruits and other political figures
- Review and report key findings from archival video footage
- Assist with media monitoring by extracting key points from relevant local news, national news, social media, and other sources
- Review & summarize legislative voting histories, campaign finance data, corporate filings, public government records, legal records, and related items
- Develop succinct research documents for rapid response and general communications
Qualifications:
- Ability to independently execute projects and exercise discretion
- Ability to analyze primary source documents
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
- Creative thinking and a desire to explore new avenues

This is a paid position of $20/hour with flexible start/end dates, and hours may range from 20-40 hours per week. For individuals located in Washington DC, the position will be hybrid, in-person/remote, but applicants who can only participate remotely are encouraged to apply as well.

Our selection process for this position will consist of a skills test, a video interview, and a reference check.
