Job Description
Congressman Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) is seeking an experienced Scheduler to join his DC office. The Scheduler will be expected to manage the Congressman’s schedule and assist with the office’s overall operating procedures. Candidates must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to manage competing demands and deadlines. Candidates must handle conflicting requests, anticipate Member’s needs when balancing multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment when scheduling meetings, events, and travel. Effective and confident communication skills are required. This is not an entry level role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and managing the Member’s daily and long-term DC and district schedule.
- Coordinating with the District Director and district staff on scheduling in-district events.
- Compiling the Congressman’s daily briefing materials and coordinating with legislative and communications staff on materials needed for meetings and events.
- Track staff time off through PurelyHR
- Help manage the Members Representational Allowance (MRA), track spending, oversee financial disclosure reporting, provide receipts, approve staff reimbursements, manage payroll and Student Loan Repayment Program.
Scheduling and/or budgeting experience is strongly preferred. Virginia and district ties are a plus. Women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, new Americans, and members of other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
